Parks are public gathering spaces with both natural and manmade features. To ensure that community members have a safe and happy time at a park, the amenities and equipment must be inspected and maintained on a regular basis.
This is where ParkZapp, an innovative, user-friendly mobile application that allows users to check playgrounds, comes into play. ParkZapp’s digital interface replaces pen and paper inspections, making it a greener, more sustainable alternative in the future.
The Need:
Traditional playground inspection systems rely on paper-based inspection forms completed by CPSI inspectors. This procedure is not environmentally friendly and causes data redundancy.
The transition to a digital platform reduces the issues associated with paper-based inspections. It streamlines the inspection process and saves time.
Project Background and Description:
Zamorins Solutions founded and launched ParkZapp, a smartphone application, in 2015. The platform was created to give consumers a hands-on interface to evaluate playground equipment. In addition to serving as an inspection tool, it has capabilities including digitized reports, media uploads, audits, and work order preparation.
Information is gathered and stored on a cloud-based platform that synchronizes data across devices. ParkZapp features can be tailored to specific end-user needs while remaining compliant with CPSC, CSA, and ASTM regulations. The app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

The tool can be used to generate digital reports, attach photographs or videos of equipment, and communicate real-time inspection status using geolocations on integrated maps. ParkZapp offers fast access to updated guides for agencies that adhere to ASTM standards and/or CPSC rules.
To Manage:
ParkZapp's user-friendly interface makes it easier to administer administrative responsibilities and permissions. The digital interface automates playground compliance and includes maintenance alert features to help monitor potential noncompliance issues. ParkZapp can be designed to support a single user or a full organization, depending on the management structure.
To Connect:
ParkZapp's interactive platform encourages community and corporate collaboration to manage parks and playgrounds. ParkZapp's photo and video recording feature can help to reduce park-related injuries. Noncompliance issues or risks can be reported directly to equipment manufacturers. When ParkZapp publishes new park event notices and updates, communities receive them.
